Shooting yarn with a tufting gun is a trend that was born on TikTok — and now you can try it here!
In fact, tufting is a very old textile technique, but the electric tufting gun makes it quick and accessible. Your piece can be completed in just a few hours, with minimal preparation required. We offer 4-hour tufting sessions during which you will create a unique hand-tufted rug (approximately A3 size, with the longer side no more than 40 cm) — and a great sense of satisfaction from making something with your own hands is guaranteed.
The aim of the workshop is to introduce you to hand-tufting tools and materials and teach you the basic techniques through hands-on practice. We begin with small and simple shapes, allowing you to learn how to handle the tufting gun, develop a proper working technique and gain a feel for the process. At the end of the workshop, you will also explore different options for finishing the rug and its backing.
By the end of the workshop, you will have gained practical knowledge and taken home your very first hand-tufted rug — finished, trimmed and cleaned by you.
